The attendees were gastronomic influencers from the capital and wine lovers who won a raffle held on social media
The Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin (DO) returned to Valencia to present its selected 2026 wines, this time to Valencian food influencers and wine lovers in a very special location: a balcony overlooking Valencia’s City Hall Square, right before the start of the Fallas festival.
Attendees enjoyed a guided tasting and learned about the five wines representing the Designation of Origin in 2026:
- Bobal Brut Sparkling Wine, from Bodegas Vicente GandΓa
- Nodus Sauvignon Blanc White Wine, from Bodegas Nodus
- Alto Cuevas RosΓ© Wine, from Bodegas Covilor
- SueΓ±os del MediterrΓ‘neo Red Wine, from Bodegas Utielanas
- Bobos 100% Bobal Red Wine, from Bodegas Hispano Suizas

Between sips of wine and learning, the audience enjoyed the festive atmosphere and shared their impressions of the wines. After the tasting, guests enjoyed catering and the traditional mascletΓ (firecracker display) from the balcony.
Food influencers shared the experience on their social media, introducing the wines of the Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin and their wine tourism potential to a much younger audience.
With initiatives like this, the Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin reinforces its commitment to bringing its wines closer to young, Valencian consumers, showcasing the richness, quality, and uniqueness of its wines and celebrating the identity of its flagship variety, Bobal.
