The Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin has developed a three-year strategic plan as the result of a participatory process involving representatives of wineries and winegrowers from the Regulatory Council’s plenary board, the DO team, and other representatives from the national wine sector.
The various internal and external contributions and perspectives have led to shared agreements and lines of action that will be progressively implemented over the coming years.
Among the main priorities are a strong commitment to wine tourism, sustainability, and native grape varieties. These strategic guidelines aim to strengthen the work of wineries and winegrowers while enhancing the opportunities of the territory.
The future of DO Utiel-Requena lies in reinforcing its identity, ensuring the sustainability of its vineyards, and generating shared value for winegrowers, wineries, and consumers, while boosting brand recognition both nationally and internationally.
With a clearly defined mission and vision, and agreed-upon goals already underway, DO Utiel-Requena faces 2026 with commitment and determination, seeking to enrich both its present and its future.
